One Book One City – We are the Light with author Matthew Quick

April 11 @ 6:00 pm - 8:00 pm

One Book, One City is a citywide literary event that encourages members of the Powder Springs community to read the same book at the same time. This is a joint venture between the The Book Worm Bookstore, the City of Powder Springs, and the Powder Springs Public Library. Through reading and discussing one book, we hope to help bring the community closer together and to make reading a lifelong pursuit.

The 2023 book selected is We Are The Light by Matthew Quick.

“A story of unexpected twists and turns on the road to recovery after a shattering tragedy. . . . When it comes to facing tragedy and trauma, Quick’s novel shows us that it definitely takes a village to heal and move on” (Kirkus Reviews).

We encourage everyone in our community to read We Are the Light and then join us on April 11 at 6:00 pm for an author talk and community-wide book discussion. Matthew Quick will be giving us insights about his book, and then we will open up questions to the audience for discussion. He will also be available to sign copies of his book.

This event will take place at Thurman Springs Park’s Hardy Family Automotive Amphitheater (4485 Pineview Dr, Powder Springs, GA 30127).

For more information about this event, please reach out to the Book Worm Bookstore (770-439-2029).
